|
|
||
Aum bhur bhuvah svah
tat savitur varenyam
bhargo devasya dhimahi
dhiyo yo nah prachodayat
We contemplate on the most brilliant light of the Creator-deity, the sun god, to achieve inner understanding, to illumine our intelligence, to stimulate our understanding, to transform our earthbound consciousness into the boundless Light of the inner Sun, the sun god.
The Dance of the Cosmic Gods
Aum bhur bhuvah svah
Tat savitur varenyam
Bhargo devasya dhimahi
Dhiyo yo nah pracodayat
We meditate on the transcendental glory of the Deity Supreme, who is inside the heart of the earth, inside the life of the sky, and inside the soul of the heaven. May He stimulate and illumine our minds.
The Upanishads: the Crown of India's Soul
Om bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ_
_tát savitúr váreṇyaṃ_
_bhárgo devásya dhīmahi_
_dhíyo yó naḥ prachodáyāt
We meditate on the adorable glory of the effulgent sun, the Creator. May He illumine and guide our mind and intellect.

Bedanai Bhara
05:45
|
|
||
Bedanai bhara jibana khanire
Rekhechi tomar charane
Shanti kothai tripti kothai
Pabo ki go hai marane
My Lord, I have placed my life
Full of pangs at Your Feet.
Oh, where is peace, where is satisfaction?
Will I get peace and satisfaction
Even in my death?

Ami Jabo
05:34
|
|
||
Ami jabo ami jabo ami jabo hridaya pure
Agni sadhak bahni premik phutechi aj agun sure
Lobher bandhan moher shasan
Doinya jatan bhagna swapan
Abasheshe ek nimeshe ajanate bahu dure
Simar kole asim dule
Kanur benu jiban mule
Mahashiber pralay nachan nutan srijan jore ghure
I shall enter into my heart’s citadel-city.
I am a worshipper of the Fire God;
I am a lover of the Fire God.
I have blossomed today
Into the melody of fiery flames.
The bondage of possession-greed,
The iron control of dark attachment,
The torture of penury,
The pangs of my shattered dreams
Have at last disappeared in a twinkling
into the farthest, remote unknown.
On my finite lap the Infinite is swinging.
The ever-intoxicating and ever-energising
Flute of Sri Krishna
Is the very origin of my life’s journey.
The Destruction-Dance of the great Lord Shiva
Ushers in a new creation
Encircling fast my earth-bound life.
Lyrics (August 1982) and translation by Sri Chinmoy
Music: Raichand Baral
Note: Sri Chinmoy borrowed this tune from the Bengali devotional song "Phire Chalo". The lyrics of this song were written by Sourindra Mohan Mukhopadhyay and the melody was composed by Raichand Baral. The song was featured in the 1933 film "Chandidas" and made immortal by the blind singer Krishna Chandra Dey.

Nami juga avatar
Deba bigraha karunar
Asim udar jayatu apar
Dhangser pathe chalechhe pritthi durbar
Mahakalanal bhishan garal
Hingsa irsha abichar

Chinmoy bapu jyotir adhar
Sarba siddhi oishi riddhi
Dharani jachichhe charane tomar
Nami juga avatar
I bow to You, O Avatar of the era,
O emblem of infinite Compassion-Height.
Constantly I sing your Victory-Song.
This mad world is running toward destruction.
Around me is the poison of jealousy, cruelty and injustice.
I bow to You, O Avatar of the era,
Your Consciousness-body,
Which is the receptacle of boundless Light,
Filled with Heavenly Light and Power.
O Avatar of the era,
My world invokes You alone.

Jagena Jagena
02:58
|
|
||
Jagena jagena paran jagena
Ghum ghor ar bhangena
Kichuto janina shudhu na
Shudhu kare mana nishedh kebal
Pratiti aghat dei naba bal
Mukti shanti labhibo achire
Keha ajo taha janena
No awakening, no awakening!
My heart is fast asleep — An endless sleep.
Nothing do I know, nothing do I know.
Someone constantly warns me
And prevents me from doing the right thing.
From each stroke of his
I derive new strength.
I shall soon be inundated
With peace and liberation-light
But nobody knows anything about it.
Words, music (1982) and translation by Sri Chinmoy

Anale anile anute renute
Nehari tomar chhabi
Taba dhyana rup ogo aparup
Ankiyachhe kato kabi
Anusari sei mahajan path
Lekhani niyechhi hate
Ganthibo baliya ei katha har
Ajike madhura prate
Jaya jaya jaya parameshwara
Jagat gurur jay
E mantra japi karibo amara
Bishwa atma jay
In fire and water,
In dust and atoms,
Seeing You, Your Meditation-Trance,
Many poets have depicted
Your immortal Beauty.
They are my pioneers.
This morning I am weaving the garland
Of soulful words:
Victory, victory, victory
To the Guru Supreme of the Universe.
Repeating this incantation
We shall conquer the world-soul.
Words, music (31. December 1974) and translation by Sri Chinmoy

Guru is Brahma the Creator.
Guru is Vishnu the Preserver.
Guru is Shiva the Transformer.
Guru is verily the visible Supreme Being.
I bow to that Guru.
